The Roman Amber Road Cycle Route "B47", often referred to as the Roman Amber Road in Central Burgenland , is a 31 kilometer long cycle route in Burgenland .

The "B47" leads along the Bernsteinstrasse , an old Roman trade route on which large quantities of amber were once brought south from the Baltic Sea , from Strebersdorf via Großmutschen , Nebersdorf , Großwarasdorf , Raiding , Horitschon and Neckenmarkt to Deutschkreutz on the border Hungary .

The cycle path runs on asphalt goods roads and through the villages partly on the original route or parallel to it. However, nothing of the original antique road can be seen, the road embankment can only be seen in the Urbarialwald near Großmutschen (this section has been a listed building since 1931 ). At several points along the cycle path, display desks provide information on topics relating to the Roman Empire .

The driver has the option, in Strebersdorf on the Family Spa bike path in Horitschon and German Kreutz on the red bike trail , Neckenmarkt on the Liszt cycle path to change and in Neckenmarkt and German Kreutz on the bike path "R62" which the Jubilee cycle path connects with the red bike trail.
