Neusiedler See cycle path
The cross-border Lake Neusiedl cycle path leads on Austrian and Hungarian territory around Lake Neusiedl , through the Seewinkel and the Neusiedler See - Seewinkel and Fertő-Hanság national parks .
With the exception of the Weiden am See - Podersdorf am See section, which is mostly covered on sand and gravel paths, the cycle path is paved throughout. In Hungary it leads partly on back roads with little traffic. The Lake Neusiedl cycle path is also very suitable for families thanks to the minimal differences in altitude and thanks to the numerous rest and overnight options.
Several connecting cycle paths ensure the connection of the Neusiedler See cycle path to the cycle path network in Burgenland and in neighboring Lower Austria .
