Fertőhomok ( German Amhagen , Croatian Umok ) is a Hungarian municipality in the Sopron district in Győr-Moson-Sopron County . It is located on the southern edge of Lake Neusiedl .
history
Fertőhomok was mentioned in writing as early as the 13th century under the name Praedium Humuky .

Culture
Fertőhomok is a community dominated by the Croatian minority. The group Kajkavci tamburaegyüttes is dedicated to the tradition of tamburica music and folk dance.
