Sopron-Fertőd small area
The small area Sopron-Fertőd ( Hungarian Sopron-Fertődi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Győr-Moson-Sopron County in Western Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, 39 localities were transferred to the successor district of Sopron (Hungarian Soproni járás ), Répceszemere (296 Ew.) Came to the district of Kapuvár .
At the end of 2012 the small area had an area of 877.13 km² with 99,567 inhabitants, the second highest population after Győr . The population density was 114, slightly above the county average.
The administrative headquarters were in Sopron . The city with county law had 60,528 inhabitants. Other cities were Fertőd with 3,344 and Fertőszentmiklós with 3,876 inhabitants. Nagycenk (1.945 Ew.) Was the only large community (Hungarian Nagyközség ).
