The anniversary cycle path "R1" is a continuous north-south cycle path connection in Burgenland . It has a length of about 310 kilometers. These consist of the main route ( Kittsee - Kalch ) with 276 km and the feeder route ( Pamhagen - Weiden am See ) with 38 km.

In 2001 this cycle path was opened on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Burgenland and named after this anniversary. This is made up of existing cycle paths and has been consistently signposted.

The route of the north-south cycle path leads from Kittsee (or Pamhagen) over Lake Neusiedl , Eisenstadt , Mattersburg , Lockenhaus , Schlaining , Stegersbach , Heiligenbrunn to Kalch.
