The former Salzburger Batzen was called Rübler , also Keutschachtaler or Salzburger Rübenthaler .

This coin had the name due to a beet depiction on one side of the coin in an elevation of the coat of arms. The minting and issue in 1495 was initiated by the Archbishop of Salzburg , Leonhard von Keutschach (1442–1519). The coat of arms of the Keutschach family had the white turnip in the black field .

The hallmarks of the coin: 24 millimeters in diameter, silver and 3.02 grams in weight.
