Rudiger Bertram

Rüdiger Bertram (born May 31, 1967 in Ratingen ) is a German writer for children and young people who also writes screenplays.

biography

During and after his studies (history, German studies, economics) Rüdiger Bertram worked as a freelance journalist (Kölnische Rundschau, ZEIT, WDR) specializing in the film industry and trained as a scriptwriter at the then writing school in Cologne e. V. (now ifs - international film school cologne ). He then wrote scripts for various sitcoms ( Bernds Hexe RTL, Mein Boss und Ich Sat.1) and was editor-in-chief of Film und Medien - Das Magazin der Film- und Medienstiftung NRW from 2000 to 2012 . The author lives with his family in Cologne, where he now lives mainly from writing books for children and young people. Eating French Fries was his first feature film in 2012. He wrote the script together with Tina von Traben . His first books Pizza Krawalla and Thelonius in the sofa world were published in 2005 by the publishers Rowohlt-Rotfuchs and Überreuter. Since then, Rüdiger Bertram has published over 70 books for children and young people together with the publishers Oetinger, cbj, Ravensburger, Rowohlt, Ueberreuter, Arena and Coppenrath. Many of them, like "Coolman and I", "Voll super, Helden" or "Frieda Kratzbürste") were created in collaboration with the Cologne illustrator Heribert Schulmeyer .
