Tina von Traben is a German film director and screenwriter .

biography

Tina von Traben studied German studies, sociology and media communication at the University of Trier from 1991–1994 . She then worked as a production manager and assistant director in film and television productions before starting her studies in film directing at the Cologne International Film School in 2002 . During her studies she already made films with 365 Tage, Klopfzeichen, Kurfrieden and The Last Season , which were represented at numerous film festivals. Her short film Poldis Engel , made in 2006, was the city of Cologne's official cultural contribution to the 2006 World Cup in cooperation with 1. FC Cologne . In 2006, the “AV-Gründerzentrum NRW” accepted them into the scholarship program.

In 2007 she received funding for the script and in 2009 for the development of her script “Pommes essen” from the Filmstiftung NRW . In 2011 the film went into production with the actors Anneke Kim Sarnau , Thekla Carola Wied and Smudo .

Since then she has been working on various scripts. For one of her stories she received another script funding from the Filmstiftung NRW. “Completely lied” is a story that she worked out with him based on a template by Rüdiger Bertram based on his literature.

Her film “The Last Season” was included in the AG Kurzfilm's catalog and won the audience award for best short film at the 2005 Lünen Cinema Festival .
