The history of the men's hockey team goes back to 1968, when the Fili hockey club was founded. This played in the highest Soviet league, won the USSR national cup twice and provided four players for the national team, which won the bronze medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Also in 1988 at the Olympic Games in Seoul four Fili representatives played again for the USSR. In 1987 the club came fifth at the EuroHockey Club Champions Cup in Terrassa, Spain, second at the EuroHockey Cup Winners Trophy in Espoo, Finland in 1991 and seventh at the 1993 EuroHockey Cup Winners Cup in Birmingham. In 2005, a team formed at Stroitel Moscow on the basis of the Fili team, which until 2008 did not get past 4th place in the championship. The team has been under the umbrella of SchWSM Ismailowo since 2008, was runner-up in 2010 and qualified for the Euro Hockey League 2010/11 , but retired after the preliminary round after defeats against the Belgian KHC Dragons and defending champion Uhlenhorster HC .
