Rüdiger Thiele (politician)

Rüdiger Thiele (born May 23, 1936 in Berlin , † September 28, 1996 in Dresden ) was a German politician ( FDP ). He was State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Economics and Labor.

Life

Rüdiger Thiele grew up in Berlin, where his father, Dr. Ernst Thiele was the managing director of the German Art Council. His mother was Liselotte Thiele, née König from an estate in Meseritz near Posen . From 1956 he studied law in Cologne . During his studies he became a member of the Corps Silesia Breslau in Cologne. Thiele spent his legal traineeship in Cologne, London and Paris and then obtained his doctorate with a thesis on the Brussels Customs Valuation Agreement. iur. In 1965 Thiele became a civil servant in the Federal Finance Administration, moved to the Federal Ministry of Finance in 1968 and to the Federal Chancellery in 1969 . There he was promoted to deputy head of the economic department, where he was responsible in particular for European economic policy. In 1990 he was transferred to Dresden to work as State Secretary for Economics in the Saxon State Ministry for Economics and Labor on German reunification.

Politically, Thiele belonged to the FDP. Among other things, he was on the supervisory board of Flughafen Dresden GmbH , Leipziger Messe GmbH and the Saxony Economic Development Corporation .
