The RAM-2000 is an armored car from the Israeli armaments manufacturer IAI Ramta , which is available in 4 × 4 or 4 × 2 drive configurations. The vehicle is the latest variant of the RAM family, which is essentially a further development of the Israeli RBY Mk. 1 . RAM Mk. III is therefore also used as an alternative designation .

The basic version of the RAM-2000 is sold as a troop transport, which can carry up to six fully equipped infantrymen in the interior, in addition to the driver and commander. Due to the armor and cross-country capabilities, the vehicle can also be used as a reconnaissance vehicle , light armored personnel carrier , anti-tank vehicle and as a police car . Ramta advertises twelve different versions.
The armor of the vehicle protects the occupants from projectiles up to caliber 7.62 mm. The RAM-2000 can, however, be provided with additional armor if this is necessary.
The RAM-2000 was exported to Lesotho and Vietnam in small numbers in 2006 .
