RJX Rio de Janeiro is a Brazilian volleyball club from Rio de Janeiro , whose men's team plays in the top Brazilian league. The association was founded in 2011 and is sponsored by the EBX Group , which belongs to the Brazilian billionaire Eike Batista .
Well-known Brazilian internationals such as Theo Lopes , Marlon Muraguti Yared , Lucas Saatkamp and Dante Guimarães Amaral play for RJX. In the first 2011/12 season, the team reached the semi-finals of the play-offs in the Brazilian Super League and ended up in fourth place.
