RS Components , known as RS , is a global distributor of electronic , electromechanical and automation based in the UK Corby . The brand, founded in London in 1937 as Radiospares , is now represented by its own companies in Europe , America and Asia and is part of the Electrocomponents Group listed on the London Stock Exchange , with sales of 1.291 billion pounds in the 2016 financial year and around 6,000 employees worldwide.

RS Components GmbH is the German subsidiary based in Frankfurt am Main and a distribution center in Bad Hersfeld . The company was founded in 1991. The German logistics center in Bad Hersfeld was opened in 2003 and sends up to 6000 deliveries within Germany every day .
RS Components Austria
RS Components Handelsges.mbH is the Austrian subsidiary based in Gmünd / Lower Austria . Founded in 1980 as Verospeed and renamed RS in 1992, the company supplies products for the areas of automation, research and development, pre- and small-batch production and maintenance.
RS Components Switzerland
RS Components GmbH in Wädenswil was founded in December 2011 as a branch (headquarters abroad) as part of the German GmbH.
