RTL 8 is a Dutch commercial broadcaster and, along with RTL 4 , RTL 5 and RTL 7, belongs to RTL Nederland Groep . RTL 8 began broadcasting on August 18, 2007 as the successor to John de Mol's hapless channel Tien , which had broadcast since August 2005 (initially as Talpa ).
