RTS - Regionalfernsehen Salzburg is a private broadcaster based in Salzburg . The station went into operation on November 4, 2009. It is owned equally by three private individuals and employs 10 people. RTS received EUR 36,000 for 2010 from the Austrian Fund for the Promotion of Private Broadcasting (PRRF).

Sending scheme

The program on RTS consists of the following 30-minute programs: Salzburg Magazin (every Tuesday and Friday), Sport Magazin (every Monday), the monthly programs (every Wednesday) Lifestyle Magazin Blickfang , Kulturformat , G'sund in Salzburg and the social magazine Probitas . In addition, a talk show goes on air every Thursday, alternating between the RTS topic talk, the League Talk and in cooperation with the Bezirksblatt Salzburg Bezirksblätter . In addition to these RTS broadcasts, there is every Friday in cooperation with eight other regional broadcasters in Austria - the Österreich Blick with content from all federal states of Austria. RTS claims to bring “home on TV”. It is newly produced on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and broadcast every day for a full week at three-hour intervals. News reports from the federal state of Salzburg are shown . These include reports from the individual communities and associations , company presentations, articles from the fields of culture , politics , lifestyle , business and more. The broadcaster also acts as a service provider for its customers.

RTS can be received in the cable network of Salzburg AG , in the cable networks of WasiTV, Elsnet and Saalbach / Hinterglemm. In addition, RTS broadcasts its program on A1TV (also in HD) throughout Austria. Since autumn 2015, in cooperation with R9, the program has been broadcast on satellite two hours a day (2–3pm and 9–10pm). The program can also be received as a web stream on the broadcaster's website . Contributions that have already been sent are sorted in an archive by region and location and can also be accessed using the conventional Windows Media Player software.

An application for the operation of the future terrestrial regional DVB-T multiplex "C" (digital antenna television) was rejected by the regulatory authority RTR in February 2010.
