history

The club was founded in 1864 as a gymnastics club , which was converted into the Concordia cycling club in 1914 . When winter sports had become more topical after the Second World War , the cycling and winter sports club Concordia Haselbach / Rhön (RWV Haselbach) emerged on August 30, 1949 . At the founding meeting, the association had 42 members, all of them from Haselbach.

In 1951, 50 ski athletes from Bischofsheim applied for membership in the club. But they insisted that the name of the club be changed to "Rad- und Wintersportverein Haselbach".

RWV Haselbach started construction of the large Kreuzbergschanzen as the sole client in 1952 . To do this, all members either had to work 20 hours voluntarily or pay 20 marks in cash. An interest-free loan was made available by the Bavarian Ski Association. In the following years several events were organized on this hill under the direction of the club.
