Raúl Antonio Baldomir

Raúl Antonio Baldomir (born February 11, 1942 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan theater director , actor and lecturer.

Baldomir began acting in independent theater groups in 1964. From 1966 he also directed. The pieces that he brought to the stage came from, among others, Ionesco , Yahro Sosa, Molière , García Lorca and Aldo Nicolaj. After graduating from the Escuela Municipal de Arte Dramático (EMAD) in 1969 , he co-founded the Teatro Equipo the following year . In the same year "El duende de la galería" and "La víspera" were also among his works. The co-founder of the Seminario de Práctica y Orientación (SPOT) in 1977 also contributed to the creation of the theater groups Opusuno and Espacio . Baldomir, who temporarily lived in Buenos Aires, has also taken part in children's theater festivals. He also worked for television.
