Raúl Gaudín

Raúl R. Gaudín (* 1901 or 1902 ; † October 12, 1962 ) was a Uruguayan politician .

Raúl Gaudín, who belonged to the Partido Colorado , held a titular mandate as a member of the Cámara de Representantes in the 34th legislative period as representative of the Salto Department from February 15, 1943 to February 14, 1947 . He took up such a mandate again, belonging to the Sublema Batllismo -2, in the 36th legislative period from February 15, 1951 to February 14, 1954. In 1954 he served as second vice-president of the chamber. He was a member of the Consejo Nacional de Gobierno, chaired by Andrés Martínez Trueba . From September 12, 1957 to February 28, 1959, Gaudín was Minister of Defense of Uruguay. He was also honorary chairman of the Instituto Nacional de Viviendas Económicas for three consecutive periods . He died at the age of 60.
