Raul Varela is a former Mexican football player at the position of a full-back .

Life

Varela has played since Club León joined the 1944/45 season in the Mexican professional league introduced a year earlier with the Esmeraldas , with whom he won the Mexican championship three times between 1948 and 1952.

Varela made his first international appearance on September 25, 1949 in the decisive World Cup qualifier against Cuba (3-0).
