History and architecture

The courtyard complex with T-house, barn and bakery on Dinslakener Str. 156 was built in the second half of the 18th century and restored from 1991 to 1992. The two-story stately half-timbered house is the only surviving example of a half-timbered T-house on the Lower Rhine. The half-timbered houses are filled with slurry bricks . The multi-storey construction and the figuration of the St. Andrew's crosses indicate Westphalian influence. The building is covered with a hipped roof. The half-timbered barn is a hall house under a half-hipped roof. The longitudinal fen is in the middle. The outer frameworks are filled with brick, and clay wickerwork was built into the inner partition walls. The gables are paneled with wood. The bakehouse is a small half-timbered building with brick infills.
