Rabe, Mushroom and Thirteen Chairs is a German television series that ran from October 1972 on the ZDF's evening program . It is about the search for an inherited financial asset.

action

Rabe, the hairdresser's assistant, has inherited a fortune from his aunt. Unfortunately, he learns too late that the money has been sewn into one of 13 chairs she bequeathed to him. Rabe thought it was worthless and immediately sold it to the antique dealer Pilz. Since the chairs have now been auctioned off to 13 different owners, the two of them start looking for the right chair. They have to show a lot of ingenuity and have a new adventure in each episode. At the end of the hunt, they find the money in a chair that now belongs to an orphanage. However, Rabe und Pilz do not want to take the find from him.

background

The story is based on the crook comedy 12 chairs by the author duo Ilf and Petrow , which was filmed in 1938 with Heinz Rühmann and Hans Moser under the title 13 chairs .

Per Schwenzen , who was also the scriptwriter for the German film produced 34 years earlier, was also involved in the script.

The half-hour episodes ran fortnightly on Mondays at 5:35 p.m.
