Rachel Marie Wood (born May 10, 1990 in Long Beach , California ) is an American football player .

Career

During her studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of California, Irvine , Wood played for the North Carolina Tar Heels and UC Irvine Anteaters, respectively . In 2013 she played for the Icelandic first division club HK / Víkingur before she joined the Boston Breakers reserve team in the WPSL in early 2014 . On July 11, 2014, she moved up to the first team of the Breakers and finally made her debut on July 20 in a 3-6 defeat at Portland Thorns FC in the NWSL . In 2016 Wood won the WPSL final with the Breakers' second team. In October 2016, she was released from her contract.
