Rad am Ring is an annual road cycling event .

The Rad am Ring on the Nürburgring includes a 24-hour race (also for teams of two, four and eight), three public races over 25 km, 75 km and 150 km on the Nordschleife and a 24-hour race for mountain bikers (also for teams of two, four and eight) on a 7 km loop between the Grand Prix track and the Nürburg .

In addition, an international one-day race of the UCI Europe Tour in the UCI category 1.1 was held for the first time in 2016 , the Rudi Altig Race , which is intended to commemorate Rudi Altig's victory at the UCI Road World Championships in 1966 on the Nürburgring. The namesake Altig died a few weeks before the first staging of the race. The first winner was the German Paul Voss . After the second edition, which was won by the Dutchman Huub Duyn , the race was discontinued due to a lack of approval from the public and cyclists . From 2018 it will be part of the Rad-Bundesliga .
