The 1st Rad am Ring 2016 was a German road bike race on the Nürburgring / Rhineland-Palatinate .

The one-day race , nicknamed the Rudi Altig Race, took place on Sunday , July 31, 2016 . There were five laps each on the Nordschleife and five laps each on the Grand Prix track . In addition, the bike race was part of the UCI Europe Tour 2016 and was classified in category 1.1 .

The winner of the race was the German Paul Voss ( Bora-Argon 18 ) after a solo journey of 70 kilometers with a lead of 1:21 minutes over his closest pursuer, his teammate Gregor Mühlberger .
