The Radener See is located in the Rostock district within the municipality of Lalendorf in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany) and is approximately 17 kilometers east of Güstrow and approximately seven kilometers west of Teterow . In the south of the lake is the eponymous place Raden. The lake is around 2.1 kilometers long and 800 meters wide. The oval, poorly structured body of water lies in a shallow, swampy depression. The lake is very shallow and surrounded by a belt of reeds. There are no official bathing spots. The lake, which is rich in nutrients due to the intensive agricultural use of the area, is fished by a fishing company. The federal highway 104 runs south of the lake .
