Radijojo

Radijojo - incorrectly spelled “Radio JoJo” in press reports - is a German radio broadcaster for children. Radijojo was founded in August 2003 as a non-profit GmbH in Berlin . The basic idea is to create a non-commercial - and therefore ad-free - "educationally valuable" radio for children from 3 to 13 years of age.

The patron of Radijojo is the musician Daniel Barenboim . Shareholders are editor-in-chief and initiator Thomas Röhlinger, the mayor of Jena Peter Röhlinger , the company fischerAppelt, tv media, and Marc Lemcke.

In 2012, Radijojo took first place in the Golden Brat , the prize for children and young people's participation of the German Children's Fund with a total of € 10,000 .

Radijojo can be received in Berlin and Brandenburg via DAB - digital radio and DVB-T ( channel 59).

Since August 2005, there has also been a commercial radio station for children in Berlin, Radio Teddy .
