Radim Nyč (born April 11, 1966 in Liberec ) is a former Czechoslovak cross-country skier .

Career

Nyč, who started for the Dukla Liberec , ran in the World Cup for the first time at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary . There he won the bronze medal with the relay. In the individual races he ran 25th place over 30 km classic and 20th place over 50 km freestyle. In the 1988/89 season he achieved ninth place over 15 km freestyle in Ramsau am Dachstein and eighth place over 30 km freestyle in Bohinj, 23rd place in the overall World Cup, his best overall result in the World Cup. At the World Championships in Lahti in February 1989 , he again won the bronze medal with the relay. In addition, he won there 13th place over 15 km freestyle. In March 1990 he was third with the relay at the World Cup in Örnsköldsvik . At the 1991 World Championships in Val di Fiemme , he finished 33rd over 10 km classic, 20th over 15 km freestyle and eighth place with the relay. In the 1991/92 season he came with two top ten placements to 23rd place in the overall World Cup. He achieved sixth place over 30 km freestyle in Thunder Bay and at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville over 50 km freestyle his best individual placement in the World Cup. In addition, he ran at the Olympic Winter Games to 33rd place over 10 km classic, 25th place in the pursuit and seventh place with the relay. At the World Championships in Falun in 1993 , he finished 28th over 50 km freestyle and eighth place with the relay. This was his 23rd and last World Cup individual race. His last World Cup race he completed in March 1993 in Lahti, which he finished in 12th place with the relay.

At the Czechoslovak Championships Nyč won in 1987, 1991 and 1992 with the relay of Dukla Liberec and in 1990 over 50 km.
