Nik Mršič (born March 7, 1996 in Maribor ) is a Slovenian football player .

Career

Mršič began his career at NK Pobrežje Gradis . In 2010 he switched to the youth team at NK Maribor , where he played for one season. For the 2011/12 season he joined the youth team at FC Koper .

In November 2014, he was against NK Rudar Velenje for the first time in the team of professionals from Koper. He made his debut for this in the 1st SNL in the same month when he came on as a substitute for Leo Štulac on the 18th matchday of the 2014/15 season against NK Maribor in the 89th minute . In July 2015 he was in Koper's starting line-up for the first time against NK Domžale , but was sent off in the 41st minute after receiving a second yellow card.

In August 2015 Mršič was awarded to the second division club NK Ankaran . For Ankaran, he played 21 games in the 2nd SNL in the 2015/16 season and scored one goal.

For the 2016/17 season he finally left Koper and joined the Austrian regional league team Deutschlandsberger SC . In his first season for Deutschlandsberg, he made 21 appearances in the Regionalliga Mitte and remained without a goal. He finally scored his first goal for Styria in October 2017 in a 3-2 win against ATSV Stadl-Paura .

In December 2018 Mršič completed a trial training session with the second division team SK Vorwärts Steyr .

National team

Mršič played in April 2011 for the first time for a Slovenian youth national team. In total, the midfielder came to 27 appearances for the U-16 , U-17 and U-19 selections of his country.
