Radio 32 started the OnAir program in 1991 with a team of 8 employees and was still broadcasting from a studio in Zuchwil. Due to the steady growth, a move to larger premises on Niklaus-Konrad-Strasse in Solothurn was necessary in 1995. 1997 Radio 32 experienced a year of technical changes. With new transmission systems in Solothurn and Olten, the transmission area could be expanded and the studios were brought up to date with digital technology. In addition, the Federal Council granted Radio 32 the definitive broadcasting license that year. After ten years of broadcasting, Radio 32 started a second radio program in 2001 with Radio 32 Goldies, which is aimed at all oldies lovers. The second program is distributed via the cable networks of the Central Plateau and the Internet.

With a new transmission system in Aarau, Radio 32 was able to expand the transmission area again in 2009. In the same year the Federal Council granted the license for a further 10 years.

In 2011 Radio 32 celebrated its 20th anniversary and again moved to larger premises. The newly built studio was moved into in September 2011 in the Medienhaus at Zuchwilerstrasse 21 in Solothurn.

Since 2014, Radio 32 can also be received via DAB + in an expanded transmission area . Interference-free Radio 32 reception is now possible from the Bernese Oberland via the Bernese Seeland , parts of the canton of Friborg and the canton of Aargau to Zurich .

In 2016 Radio 32 celebrated its 25th birthday. The big birthday party took place in June on Dornacherplatz in Solothurn. Well-known Swiss musicians celebrated with Kunz , Dodo , Gustav, Florian Ast and Christian Schenker.

The website was replaced by a new, modern website in 2017. With the release of the website, Radio 32 released 4 new web radios (Schlager, Rock, Hits and Special) in addition to the OnAir program and Radio 32 Goldies.

From 1991 until today, Radio 32 has been optimizing news formats, entertainment elements and the music mix year after year. During this time, the number of listeners doubled and advertising sales increased fivefold. Radio 32 employs around 40 people.
