Radio Engiadina ( [radi̯o ɛnˈdʑadinɐ] ? / I , Rhaeto-Romanic in the Ladin idioms for "Radio Engadin") is a local radio station in South Grisons belonging to the Südostschweiz media group . It works closely with Radio Südostschweiz (formerly Radio Grischa ) and is licensed by the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) . Audio file / audio sample

Most of the contributions are broadcast in German in the dialect of Bündnerdeutsch , some also in Puter and Vallader .

The editorial office is located in Cho d'Punt 57 in Samedan in the Upper Engadin .

history

The first radio in southern Grisons was Radio Piz Corvatsch , which went on air on January 1, 1990. In the mid-nineties, Radio Piz Corvatsch was taken over by the Lower Engadine Acla da Fans SA as a major shareholder, changed its name to Radio Piz and received digital studio technology.

On the night of February 1 to February 2, 2004, Radio Piz became the new Radio Engiadina, which broadcasts its own program Monday to Friday in prime time between 7:00 and 11:00 a.m., while the rest of the time it uses Radio Grischa's program boxes .

Legal situation

An objection procedure is currently (status: 2010) underway by the losing competitor, Radio Südost, against the awarding of a license by Bakom to Radio Grischa and Radio Engiadina . This belongs to u. a. the journalist and media entrepreneur Roger Schawinski .
