Radio Fantasy is a local radio for Augsburg and the surrounding area. From the start of broadcasting on March 21, 1987, Radio Fantasy initially shared the VHF frequencies (92.2 and 87.9 MHz ) with Hit Radio RT.1 , Radio Kö and Radio Sunshine and other smaller providers. When the 93.4 MHz frequency was released, Radio Fantasy and Radio Skyline broadcast on this new frequency. In 1995 Radio Fantasy and Radio Skyline merged to become Radio Fantasy. Since June 2013 the studios are located at Bahnhofstrasse 29 in Augsburg.
Program and broadcasts
Radio Fantasy sees itself as a station for young adults, targeting 20 to 39 year olds. The music color corresponds to that of a contemporary hit radio (CHR) .
In terms of content, the focus is on information, entertainment and service with a focus on Augsburg.
In contrast to most other stations, the news doesn't start on the hour, but ten minutes earlier. Weather reports and traffic information for Augsburg and the region are broadcast every half hour.
The technical range extends to 545,000 listeners.

Every Monday from 9:50 p.m. to 0:50 a.m. broadcasts on the frequency of Radio Fantasy Kanal C, a training channel licensed by the Bavarian State Media Authority. Moderation, editing and music selection are taken over by students from the University of Augsburg.
Every Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the "Fantasy Celebration Starter" hosted by Carina runs on 93.4. You can hear the latest music from the world's clubs and charts, mashups and all-time party tracks as a party warm-up. On Saturday from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. there will be the show “Private Places” - a house music radio show with Athanasios Lasos and international guest DJs.

Radio Fantasy Vienna
In July 2019, the branch of the Augsburg Radio Fantasy was allocated a program slot in the DAB Ensemble Vienna 11C. Broadcasting began on September 25, 2019, broadcasting a non-stop music program similar to a streaming provider.
