Radio Victoria (Baden-Württemberg)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Radio Victoria was a private radio broadcaster based in Baden-Baden , which broadcasted from March 1, 1989 to March 31, 1994 in Baden via the Hornisgrinde transmitter on the frequency 100.4 MHz and in many cable networks in Baden-Württemberg .

The station's program focus was on pop music , which was moderated. In addition to the news, there was a talk show on the weekend . At night the program was taken over by Radio RPR .

The name of the station indicated the location of the station, the former Hotel Victoria in Baden-Baden. The original name when it started broadcasting was Radio 7 Victoria , which indicated a connection to the Radio 7 station . Program parts such as news were also taken over from there. A more extensive program connection failed because the two transmitter locations were too far apart, so that the "7" later disappeared from the transmitter name.

Moderators included Christian Simon , Susanne Rohrer and Walter Fuchs .

Radio Victoria broadcast daily from midnight to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and shared the frequency with Radio Ladies First, which has also been switched off . On April 1, 1994, the frequency was taken over by Radio Regenbogen .
