The program is supplemented by various live-moderated magazine programs. From Monday to Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the formats Mediazine.FM, Siegplatte, Kulturpaket and Vertigo are broadcast. The program Logbuch also summarizes the journalistic-relevant topics of the week on Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m.

On Friday afternoon from 5 pm to 6 pm, the best contributions, discussions or reports from the Radius 92.1 program of the past week will be presented again in a best-of in the "Stuff" program. During the week, the evening program offers various word-of-mouth programs (e.g. word over word), DJ programs (e.g. DJ zone or night walkers) and freestyle programs (e.g. SHRUMP!). At the weekend, individual programs from the previous week are repeated again.

The program is supplemented by unmoderated music tracks that are part of the day and night programs. Radius 92.1 is an advertising-free program, but sends its own program information, trailers and sponsors events such as B. "Rockin 'Radius" or the "Radius Lounge". The station also broadcasts live from various events that are of great importance for student life in Siegen.

history

The station was founded in 1991 and was originally called Radio Syrup . Until 1997 there was a broadcast produced in the media center of the University of Siegen on the community radio broadcast on Radio Siegen every 14 days, then weekly . The summer semester 2007 marked the start of the three-hour live program from Monday to Friday. The broadcast took place via livestream and terrestrially in and around the Hölderlin building. In the summer semester of 2009, the expansion of the frequency to all of Siegen was accompanied by a redesign, and the name was changed to Radius 92.1 .
