Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė (born January 2, 1984 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian politician of the party Tėvynės Sąjunga - Lietuvos krikščionys demokratai .

Life

After graduating from the Juozas Naujalis Music High School in Kaunas in 2002, Morkūnaitė completed a bachelor's degree in piano performance at the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy in 2006 and a master's degree in cultural management and cultural policy at the Vilnius Art Academy in 2008 .

From 2005 to 2008 she worked as an assistant to several members of the Seimas , after which she was an advisor to Foreign Minister Vygaudas Ušackas until 2009 . She joined the TS-LKD and the affiliated League of Young Conservatives in 2001. From 2006 to 2007 she was chairman of the League of Young Conservatives , later she was a member of the TS-LKD council, and since 2009 she has been a member of the party's presidium and council. She worked as the coordinator of an international project to protect the Baltic Sea . From 2009 to 2014 she was a member of the European Parliament .

Her great-grandfather Antanas Morkūnas was mayor of Kėdainiai from 1924 . Her father Eligijus Morkūnas was a member of the council of the Rajonggemeinde Kaišiadorys . Her mother Teodora Morkūnienė works in the Folk Art Museum in Rumšiškės .

Morkūnaitė is married. Her husband is Mikulėnas.
