Rafael Font de Mora (born May 7, 1968 in Valencia , Spain ) is a former Spanish professional tennis player and now director of a tennis academy in Scottsdale , Arizona ( USA ).

Font de Mora played tennis on the ATP Tour from 1985 to 1988 .

In 1990 he founded a tennis academy called International Tennis USA (itUSA) , where young talents are managed, promoted and trained. The most famous upstart this academy to date are Meghann Shaughnessy and Anna-Lena Grönefeld . Shaughnessy reached the top 20 in the world as well as the top 10 in doubles. In spring 2006 Grönefeld made it into the top 15 and top 10 in doubles.

Font de Mora's facility also offers tennis courses for those interested (from beginners to professionals).

However, his training methods are very controversial among experts. He is considered to be extremely dominant and is said to win players over. That is why the relationship with Fed Cup boss Barbara Rittner , who was also responsible for Grönefeld, was considered to be quite tense.
