Rafael Rodríguez Barrera

Rafael Rodríguez Barrera ( 1937 - December 3, 2011 ) is a Mexican ambassador , politician and lawyer .

Life

He inherited the chairmanship of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional from Luis Donaldo Colosio when Carlos Salinas de Gortari appointed him to his government cabinet as Minister for Social Development on April 13, 1992. The traditional dedazo fell on Luis Donaldo Colosio in 1994, the hint with which President Carlos Salinas de Gortari chose his successor.

From 1996 to 1999 Rafael Rodríguez Barrera was Director General for Religious Affairs. His deputy in this function was Jorge García Zubieta. This was trained from 1993 to 1995, when Rafael Rodríguez Barrera was ambassador in Tel Aviv in Israel. In 1998, Capitán Jorge García Zubieta, Director de Seguridad Pública del Estado Campeche, was the liaison to Israeli military advisors deployed in Chiapas .
