Rafael de Sousa Albuquerque , called Rafa , rarely also Rafael (born March 1, 1992 in Hamburg ), is a German - Portuguese soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Rafa played in his youth until 2010 in the youth teams of the Portuguese first division and top club FC Porto . Only in the 2007/08 season he played in on loan with the Padroense FC youth team . In the summer of 2010, he moved to the U-19s of league rivals Rio Ave FC , before he also trained with the first team from 2011. However, he was only a substitute goalkeeper. On November 6, 2011, the 10th matchday of the first division season 2011/12 , Rafa came in the home game against Nacional Funchal (2-1) to his professional football debut when he came on at halftime for the injured Brazilian goalkeeper Huanderson . Rafa remained without conceding a goal.
