history
Raiffeisenbank Schwaben Mitte eG emerged from seven mergers of local Raiffeisen banks. Initially, in 1972 Raiffeisenbank Bellenberg eG merged with Raiffeisenbank Tiefenbach to form Raiffeisenbank Bellenberg-Tiefenbach eG. When Raiffeisenbank Illerberg-Thal eG was incorporated in 1989, it traded as Raiffeisenbank Bellenberg-Tiefenbach / Illerberg-Thal eG, from which Raiffeisenbank Iller-Roth eG emerged in 1995 when it merged with Raiffeisenbank Buch-Unterroth eG. Raiffeisenbank Illereichen-Altenstadt eG followed in 1997 and Raiffeisenbank Kettershausen eG in 1998.
In the course of the merger with Raiffeisenbank Babenhausen-Osterberg eG, the name was changed again in 2001 to Raiffeisenbank Iller-Roth-Günz eG. Raiffeisenbank Erkheim eG took over this in 2006. In 2017 the Raiffeisenbank Iller-Roth-Günz eG merged with the Raiffeisenbank Krumbach / Schwaben eG to form the new Raiffeisenbank Schwaben Mitte eG based in Krumbach / Schwaben. The business area expanded to include large parts of the southern district of Günzburg.
