Valdoule is a French municipality with 216 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Serres in the Gap arrondissement .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from July 1, 2017, by merging the previous municipalities of Bruis , Montmorin and Sainte-Marie and in the new municipality they have the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are in Bruis.

geography

The river Oule has its source in the municipality . Valdoule is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Dizier-en-Diois in the north, Valdrôme in the north and north-east, L'Épine in the east and south-east, Ribeyret and Moydans in the south, Pommerol in the south-west, La Charce in the west and Establet in the north-west.
