Aspres-sur-Buëch is a French commune with 821 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Alpes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region .
geography
The municipality is located in the French Alps . The altitude varies between 727 and 2063 meters above sea level. The place is on the Buëch , 26 kilometers west of Gap . In Aspres the highways Valence -Gap ( Route nationale 93 ) and Grenoble - Sisteron ( Route nationale 75 ) cross.

The population has remained constant since 1793 at around 600-800 inhabitants. Only in 1886 with 1200 and after the First World War with fewer than 600 inhabitants were there exceptions.
