Esparron is a French commune in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Tallard in the Gap arrondissement . Esparron borders

history
From the year 1188 there is already a mention under the place name "Esparron". The settlement was also called "Isparonum" (1100) or "Sparronum" (1500), depending on the era. Esparron was defeated in 1791 to form the then newly founded canton of Barcillonnette .
