Rosans is the westernmost municipality in the Hautes-Alpes department. It borders on Pommerol to the north, Moydans to the east, Saint-André-de-Rosans to the south-east, Montferrand-la-Fare to the south, Lemps to the south-west, Verclause to the west and Cornillac to the north-west .
