Pommerol ( Occitan : Pomairòl ) is a place and a community with 11 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Drôme in the southern French region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). Pommerol belongs to the arrondissement of Nyons and the canton of Nyons et Baronnies (until 2015 Rémuzat ). The inhabitants are called Pommerolais .

Pommerol is about 70 kilometers southeast of Valence . Pommerol is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Charce in the north and northwest, Sainte-Marie in the north, Bruis in the east and northeast, Moydans in the southeast, Rosans in the south and Cornillac in the west.
