Bruis is a village and a former French municipality with 78 inhabitants (as at 1st January 2017) in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belonged to the canton of Serres in the Gap arrondissement . The residents call themselves Bruissards .

With effect from July 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Bruis, Montmorin and Sainte-Marie were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Valdoule and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Bruis.
