Montmorin is a village and a former French commune of 100 people (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Alpes in the region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belonged to the canton of Serres in the Gap arrondissement .

With effect from July 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Bruis , Montmorin and Sainte-Marie were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Valdoule and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Bruis.

geography

The river Oule rises on the southern flank of the Montagne de l'Aup , to the east of Montmorin . The place borders in the north on Valdrôme , in the east on L'Épine , in the south on Ribeyret , in the south-west on Moydans and in the west on the town of Bruis .
