Bourdeaux is a French commune in the department of Drôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The inhabitants of the commune are called the Bourdelois .

geography

Bourdeaux is located about 25 km east of Montélimar . The 23.11 km² municipal area is crossed by the Roubion River. It includes agricultural and forest areas. The main settlement has a village center from the 15th century. There are also some smaller farms and hamlets belonging to Bourdeaux.

population

With 653 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) Bourdeaux is one of the smaller communities in the Drôme department. In 1962 the community still had 613 inhabitants, after which the number fell in the 1960s and 70s to 536 in 1975. In the last 30 years only minor fluctuations were recorded.
