Mérindol-les-Oliviers is a French commune in Arrondissement Nyons , Département Drôme , in the Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .
geography
The municipality is located on the Eyguemarse , a tributary of the Ouvèze . The municipality is located nine kilometers from Vaison-la-Romaine .
history
The church was first mentioned in 1120 and 1170. The community later played an important role during the Hundred Years War and the French Revolution .
In 1793 the community still had 447 inhabitants, since then the number of inhabitants has decreased to 216.
