Bésignan ( Occitan Besinhan ) is a place and a community with 82 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Drôme in the southern French region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Nyons and the canton of Nyons et Baronnies (until 2015 Buis-les-Baronnies ). The inhabitants are called Bésignanais .

location

Bésignan is located about 55 kilometers northeast of Avignon . The Ennuye limits the municipality in the north. Bésignan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Poët-Sigillat in the north, Saint-Sauveur-Gouvernet in the north and east, Vercoiran in the south and south-east, Buis-les-Baronnies in the south-west and Sainte-Jalle in the west and north-west.
