La Coucourde is a French commune with 1,071 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Drôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Nyons and the canton of Montélimar-1 (until 2015 Marsanne ). The inhabitants are called Coucourdois .

La Coucourde is located around 29 kilometers south-southwest of Valence on the Rhône . La Coucourde is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Tourrettes in the north, Condillac in the east, Savasse in the south and east, Meysse in the southwest and Cruas in the west.
Autoroute A7 and Route nationale 7 run through the municipality .
