La Penne-sur-l'Ouvèze ( Occitan La Pena ) is a place and a community with 96 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Drôme in the southern French region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Nyons and the canton of Nyons et Baronnies (until 2015 Buis-les-Baronnies ). The inhabitants are called pennois .

La Penne-sur-l'Ouvèze is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Propiac in the north and north-west, Buis-les-Baronnies in the east and north-east, Saint-Léger-du-Ventoux in the south-east, Mollans-sur-Ouvèze in the south and west and Pierrelongue in the West.
